CONNEX - connecting undergraduates to OSU research opportunities

Undergraduate research is a rewarding experience which complements classroom learning and prepares students for higher degrees and future career opportunities.

CONNEX promotes research to enhance undergraduate education by assisting students in finding research opportunities at OSU. To see the variety of research opportunities at OSU, please see: http://biology.science.oregonstate.edu/undergraduate-research.

Students can consider volunteer, credit, or applications for grants and fellowships. Funding is not available directly from CONNEX but available resources can be found here: http://biology.science.oregonstate.edu/osu-undergraduate-research-resources.

To qualify for participation, students are expected to be highly motivated, mature, and have demonstrable evidence of academic excellence at the University-level. Past research experience is not necessary but students are expected to be actively engaged in pursuing their own research opportunities. Freshman and sophomores are encouraged to participate.

Dr. Chang will give a brief discussion on CONNEX and highlight research options at OSU in BI212 (offered winter terms). Students that will be enrolled in BI212 are encouraged to begin pursing research opportunities but wait until winter quarter before contacting a facilitator.
