Why Major in Biology at OSU?
The Biology Program was created for students who wish to obtain broad interdisciplinary training in the life sciences. The Biology Program prides itself on getting students involved early and providing them with hands-on experiences to complement their coursework.
Meetings and campus tours for prospective students interested in Biology can be arranged through the TOUR Office.
All new students for fall must attend START, OSU's orientation program, which includes orientation, advising and registration for the following year. New students accepted for winter or spring should contact Brock McLeod to find out about orientation times. Students coming to OSU from other schools should read the information for transfer students.
Some of the many opportunities available to students in the OSU Biology Program include:
- Careers in biology
- Preparing for medicine and other health professions
- Curriculum and courses
- OSU undergraduate research
- Other research, internships, volunteering and jobs
- International opportunities
- University Honors College
