Undergraduate Research
There are many opportunities for undergraduate research at OSU and other research instituations. Student involvement may be part-time during the school year, full or part-time during summer, and paid or unpaid. With approval of the guiding professor, students may receive academic credit for research experience at OSU by following the procedures on the BI 401 Research Credit Approval Form. The listserve posts many research opportunities, but the best way to find them is to talk to faculty and/or use the following resources:
Internships and Volunteering

A science internship or volunteer position provides a way for students to gain scientific experience and skills working in business, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGO), or other organizations. Students can receive credit for internships even if they are doing them for money by taking BI 410 Internship credit, and students can also participate in international internships for credit through the IE3 Global Internships Program. Students wishing to get credit must submit an BI 410 Internship Approval Form.
