Transferring to the Biology Program
The Biology Program prides itself on getting transfer students transitioned effectively. All transfer students must attend transfer START session which includes orientation, advising and registration specific to transfer students. Meetings and campus tours for prospective students interested in Biology can be arranged through the TOUR Office.
All transfer students should read the OSU Admissions Transfer Students Page which covers general policies; provides tools for course artiulations; discusses the Degree Partnership Program, and covers transfer degrees such as the AAOT (Associate of Arts Oregon Tranfer) or DTA (Washington Direct Transfer Agreement) and California degrees. Generally, transfer students should complete the entire series of any science courses before transferring - many series do not work if only partially completed. Students should NOT wait to begin taking their science and math courses ot OSU, and all students should read the appropriate information below:
